Consultation
On your first visit to our office in Canby you will be
greet warmly by our receptionist. You will need to fill out
our required
forms which will help us gain some information about
yourself and your condition. Please bring any insurance cards
or claim information with you, so that we can verify your
insurance coverage prior to beginning treatment. Please
arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out
paperwork.
Upon completion of your paperwork, Dr. Michael Vissers will
then talk with you and ask you some specific questions
regarding your condition to determine if chiropractic care may
be of benefit to you. If Dr. Vissers believes that your
condition would benefit from Chiropractic treatment, he will
take a history of your symptoms and proceed with a physical
examination. If your condition is not treatable with
conservative treatment, every effort will be made to refer you
to the appropriate specialist.
Examination
After consultation with the doctor, you will have
a thorough chiropractic examination. This will include
testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend as well
as other standard orthopedic, neurologic, postural, and
physical examinations. The doctor will gain valuable
information regarding your condition so that a comprehensive
treatment plan may be formulated for you. If necessary,
the doctor may take X-rays or refer you for additional testing
procedures.
X-ray
X-rays are sometimes required for a more
complete evaluation of a patient's condition. The need
for X-ray is considered on a case by case basis.
Report of Findings

injury, and performing the appropriate examinations, the
doctor will discuss with you his findings
and his treatment recommendations.
